Thanks to my brother for getting this for me at DFS on his way back from business trip. Just nice to replenish stock as I am left with 1/2 bottle of Choya in the fridge now. Cheers !!!!!!

29th Sep 2013 - Sunday

Meet up with our ex designer to discuss about our new house. He wasn't with any company now and doing freelance. He briefly tell us about his designs and told us he need more time to work out the quote. I'm not really comfortable with him this time as he don't hold any HDB license. Though he mention he is able to borrow the license using his friend's company and this is common in reno line but I still feel uneasy *not sure is it legal or not*. Haiz.... sorry to say, I'm going to give it a miss most likely although hubby is still alright to use him.

28th Sep 2013 - "Meetings" !

Meet up with 1 contractor and 1 ID today. Both recommended by my cousin. The contractor came over to our place to discuss in the morning. He seems to be in a very rush mode and the discussion ended quite fast within an hour. What impress me the most is he can actually tell me the changes in the layout of the house just by the photos I watsapp him. He is experienced ! He requested to go to the unit we bought for measurements etc. Advantage of engaging him is will save $ I guess as those that can reuse, he will discourage you to remove. Disadvantage is I'm afraid the things he do will be very "contractor" style and not sure whether the materials he used is good or lousy. Workmanship I think will be ok according to my cousin.

2nd ID we arrange to meet at their office. Had already mindset myself that this ID will be very expensive as I saw them advertising in reno magazines ! They work in pairs and we did spend quite a long time discussing on our quote. Their price is indeed high but I think they also use higher end materials. At least they have what I always wanted for my kitchen since the 1st house - BLUM ! What also attracts me is there is a lifetime warranty on their carpentry work on hingers and sliders and threads. However, there is a price to pay for all these !!

After both "meetings", is time for dinner. Went to eat frog leg porridge @ Geylang since we are at east area. After dinner, went back home to rest for the night and brain storming at home on the quotation hahaha.....

26th Sep 2013 - Option to Purchase

Agent collected the 4k cheque to exercise the purchase of our 2nd flat today :) He will be booking the HDB appointment for us tomorrow and I'm hoping that he will get the earliest date so we'll have sufficient time for reno. Hope all will go well as plan. Busy days ahead........

22nd Sep 2013 - Sunday

Stayed home today to rest. Buyer came with his contractor in the afternoon to look see look see for their reno next year. Took only awhile and the contractor did not take any measurements too. They only have 17 days to reno !! I guess they are retaining most of the designs in the house and only minor reno. I had also arranged to meet 2 IDs next Sat and Sun to discuss about the designs of our 2nd nest :) Looking forward to hear what they have in mind........

21st Sep 2013 - Saturday

Today is a free day as we didn't arrange for anything. Hubby asked the boys whether they want to watch Disney's Planes. The answer was obviously YES !!! They rather go out and run instead of staying at home now. He checked out the time slot and off we went to Nexx for the 5pm show. The show was erm..... boring to me. We enjoyed our Nachos and pop corns more I think. I still prefer watching Turbo, it was definitely more entertaining. After the show, we went NTUC to buy roast chicken home for dinner to avoid the crowd at Nexx. Reached home around 7+pm and on TV for the boys to watch F1 :) Around 11+pm, Melson suddenly wake up as he's too lonely in the room. He don't want to sleep by himself hahaha... Accompanied him to zz in the room with my drama past midnight ;)

21st Sep 2013 - 3rd Milk Teeth Dropped

20th Sep 2013 - Busy Day !

On leave today but we have lots of place to run !

1st stop to my gynae for my annual check. I had delayed my check from June till Sep. Finally, today went down to check and ultrasound looks fine. Saw all my eggs in the ovaries too, right ovary have more eggs than left. Will wait for the pap smear report to confirm all checks are fine.

2nd stop was to School Dental Center for Melson's dental appointment. Actually I wanted to put fillings for his front teeth but he wasn't cooperative :( He had 4 cavities on his upper front teeth. Really need to brush properly now to prevent further damage to his teeth. Dentist advise to bring him back again to try but he might be too young for fillings. Made appointment on Nov to see dentist again. Total damage here is only $9 hehe....  Thanks to my frend for recommending this place to me, is really cost saving !

After the above 2 appointments, went for lunch at Bugis and we proceed to submit all docs to Maybank for our bank loan. We were so tired that we decided to go home after that *supposed to bring them to Polliwogs*. Melcolm was super disappointed. Therefore, went Compasspoint for dinner and got him Tomica cars. After he got hold of his new toy, he start to grumble again so long never go Polliwogs..... BTH !!!! Really must "deliver" what we promise now if not he will nag and be disappointed.

19th Sep 2013 - 中秋节快乐 ！

Wishing our families and all our friends 中秋节快乐 ！

Boss on leave today so I decided to go Tanjong Pagar to meet Mei for lunch and also buy muffins for tomorrow breakfast. It was a long walk but luckily can take my time hee. Thanks Mei for the lunch treat :)

To add on, today we finally confirm the unit for our 2nd nest :) Placed the 1k deposit and waiting for next week to exercise the option. Hope will have more time for reno *fingers cross*.

17th Sep 2013 - Corelle set

My cousin had informed me about this promotion last week. After work and while on the way home, I drop by Nexx NTUC and saw this. Got hold of 1 set as the price was really reasonable as compared to those I saw at shopping malls. Design was plain and simple and was acceptable. Am so tempted to buy 2 sets actually ! I guess I will only use this after shifting to our 2nd nest !

16th Sep 2013 - Mooncakes

Every year, I will buy mooncakes for mother in law and my mum without fail. This year, as usual, bought Conrad Centennial Hotel mooncakes for them since there is a 25% off for us :) Hope they enjoy the mooncakes. I am enjoying my share in the office since last week. Thanks to all the vendors for the complimentary mooncakes, more are welcome wahahaa ;)

15th Sep 2013 - 2nd Viewing

Today is kind of like decision making day for us. After 2nd viewing, we need to decide which unit we want to buy. Given a choice, I think I won't select any but we are running short of time. We need to vacate current place by early Jan'14. Shortlisted a total of 4 units for 2nd viewing today. Initially, I am quite firm on which unit I prefer. However, after 2nd viewing, my opinion totally changed ! We did not decide on the spot and told the agent will consider and let him have our choice soon. Went back home and discuss with hubby and we finally make a BIG decision. Hope we make the right choice :) Some pics of our 2nd viewing. Can you guess which unit we select?
